Another Extension to RDM Published
ANSI E1.37-2 – 2014, Entertainment Technology – Additional Message Sets for ANSI E1.20 (RDM) – Part 2, IPv4 & DNS Configuration Messages, was approved as an American National Standard by ANSI's Board of Standards Review on October 10. It is now available for free download on the PLASA website at http://tsp.plasa.org/tsp/documents/published_docs.php. The free download is made possible by the sponsorship of Prosight Specialty Insurance.
ANSI E1.37-2 is another part of the multi-part, open-ended E1.37 standard. It provides additional Get/Set parameter messages (PIDs) for use with the ANSI E1.20 Remote Device Management protocol. Messages in this document are intended for configuring network interfaces, routing information and Domain Name System settings on devices with IPv4 addresses.
The standard also will be available for purchase from ANSI's eStandards Store at http://webstore.ansi.org/ for $40.00. Tell your friends to download E1.37-2 from the PLASA website for free and to ask for an insurance quote from Prosight. Tell your enemies to buy it from ANSI for $40--then tell them to ask for the insurance quote.
