The ESTA Board has approved the publication of an Application Guide for E1.3, Entertainment Technology -- Lighting Control Systems -- 0 to 10V Analog Control Specification. The guide explains some of the design implications that may not be obvious in the E1.3 standard. It also offers some troubleshooting guidance for analog control equipment, along with pinouts for some common analog control cables. The Application Guide is available here, free, as an Adobe Acrobat file (85 kB). The ANSI E1.3-2001 standard may be purchased at ESTA Publications and ANSI online.
